The aim of the EPACTT Project (EuroPean Accreditation Curriculum on Tobacco Treatment project) was to initially train and certify professionals in Eastern Europe (with a focus on Romania, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia), who successfully complete the courses along with the guidelines training. The professionals are then considered as competent in smoking cessation and knowledgeable of cutting-edge issues in tobacco control.
The aim is to create and mobilize a network of healthcare professionals and organizations, dedicated to advancing evidence-based tobacco dependence treatment and advocating for effective tobacco control policy, resting on the three following pillars.
Over the years, the training has been developed with additional chapters, and trainings are currently performed upon request from partners.
