No child should grow up in a world designed to addict them.
Your contribution helps protect a whole generation from nicotine addiction and keeps public health at the center of Europe’s future.

The tobacco pandemic causes the death of 700.000 European citizens every year. Compared to the rest of the world, the WHO European Region has one of the highest proportions of deaths attributable to tobacco with around 50% of smokers dying prematurely from tobacco-related diseases such as various types of cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.
Across Europe, young people face an aggressive wave of new nicotine products: flavored vapes, disposable e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, synthetic nicotine. These products move faster than regulation and are marketed where children are most vulnerable: online, on social media, and in their everyday environments.
At the same time, EU operating grants for civil society have been suspended. The tobacco and nicotine industry is accelerating. Public health voices need support to keep up.

Since 1997, the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP) has been a European focal point for tobacco control. We are not a lobby group. We are an independent network that brings together more than 80 organisations in 38 countries, all working to protect health and save lives.
