Join the Portorož Youth Health Forum 2026

From 21 to 23 September, the Portorož Youth Health Forum brings together youth workers, youth health advocates, health professionals, experts, and stakeholders from across Europe and beyond to explore the role of young people in shaping healthier societies. By connecting youth work with health promotion, prevention, advocacy, and policymaking, the forum creates a space for practical learning, exchange of ideas, cooperation, networking, and the development of new approaches to youth health.

Organised by the Youth Health Organization (YHO), the Forum creates a space where youth work meets health promotion, prevention, research, advocacy and policymaking. Participants will exchange experiences, strengthen practical skills and develop ideas for improving the health and wellbeing of young people across Europe.

Call for Belgian Youth Advocates

As a YHO partner in the organisation of the Forum, ENSP has the opportunity to select a few young advocates from Belgium to participate in PYHF 2026. We are therefore launching an open call for young people interested in joining this event.

We are looking for participants who:

  • are based in Belgium;
  • are active in youth work, youth organisations, advocacy or related initiatives;
  • have an interest in youth health, public health, health promotion, prevention or related fields;
  • are motivated to participate actively throughout the Forum;
  • are willing to share their own experiences, ideas and perspectives with an international group.

For the participants selected through ENSP, accommodation, meals and costs related to the local programme will be covered by the organisers and travel costs will be reimbursed after the event.

What will you gain from the Forum?

Participants will have the opportunity to develop practical skills in areas including health promotion, advocacy, campaigning, research, networking and policymaking, while meeting other young people and professionals working on health across Europe.

The Forum will also contribute to the review and further development of the European youth health work declaration, bringing young people’s priorities and recommendations to governments, decision-makers and international organisations.

It is also an opportunity to build new collaborations, discover different approaches to youth health and become part of a wider European community working to ensure that young people are meaningfully involved in decisions affecting their health.

Know someone who would be a great fit?

Share this call with young advocates, students, youth workers and youth organisations across Belgium or nominate them via this form.
