Preparations are gaining momentum for the 11th European Conference on Tobacco Control (ECTC 2026), which will take place in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 4 to 6 November 2026.
Held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, the conference will be hosted by the Türkiye Green Crescent Society and the International Green Crescent Federation, in partnership with the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention.
As part of the preparations, Conference Co-Chairs Prof. Panagiotis Behrakis, President of ENSP, and Amb. Dr. Mehmet Güllüoğlu, Vice President of the Türkiye Green Crescent Society, recently met to advance the planning and coordination of the event.
ECTC 2026 will bring together experts, policymakers, researchers, civil society representatives and advocates from across Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and strengthen collective action in tobacco control.
