ENSP-ECTC Webinar “Novel Tobacco Products: New Age of the Global Epidemic”

As a part of the ENSP-ECTC Series of Webinars, the hot topic of novel tobacco products will be addressed during the session on Thursday, 3 December (13:00 – 14:30 CET), under the title “Novel Tobacco Products: New Age of the Global Epidemic”.

Novel tobacco products raise endless number of questions that have to be urgently answered and acted upon. How do we protect adolescents from introduction to smoking and stop its renormalisation? Do novel products threaten smoking bans and other effective tobacco control achievements? How do we react to harm-reduction claims of the tobacco industry? What do we know about second-hand exposure to the e-cigarettes aerosol? And most importantly – what kind of measures should governments and societies undertake to address the raising epidemic? The programme will feature the presentations on the regulation aspect of heated tobacco products and e-cigarettes, research data on health effects of novel products and case studies from a few European countries. The detailed agenda will be disseminated shortly.
