International Conference on School Hygiene, Health Promotion and Sustainable Development in Schools and Universities


It is our pleasure to invite you to the International Conference on School Hygiene, Health Promotion and Sustainable Development in Schools and Universities organized by the Research Center in Preventive Medicine, Health Promotion and Sustainable Development from  “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy and European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention as part of the Eurest-Rise project. The conference will be held on 21-22 November 2024 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

During panel discussions, plenary talks, oral presentations as well as a workshop and a round table the following subjects will be addressed:

  1. Education, research and policies for healthy youth and sustainable development: the role of cooperation
  2. Education, research and policies for healthy youth and sustainable development: the role of medical and health sciences faculties and research centers
  3. Dialogic approach to integrate multi-professional work in educational, health and social sectors
  4. Tobacco control: learning from the past, acting now, getting ready for the future
  5. Promotion of healthy nutrition and active lifestyle: challenges and opportunities
  6. Prevention of health risk behaviors in youth-translating research to practice
  7. School hygiene: creating a supportive school environment for healthy physical and psychosocial development of pupils
  8. Environmental education and climate change
  9. Capacity building for health promotion and sustainable development in schools and universities: perspectives for future actions

The conference aims to be a platform for an exchange of knowledge and experience as well as for enhancing cooperation between different sectors, institutions and persons with activities and interests in this field.

We welcome researchers, professionals from the fields of education, health, psychology and social care, policymakers as well as students, pupils and parents.
