Prof Maria Sofia Cattaruzza, MD, MSc, PhD, is a distinguished figure in the field of tobaccology and public health. Serving as the President of the Italian Society of Tobaccology (SITAB) and the Scientific Director of Tabaccologia/Tobaccology, she is at the forefront of research and advocacy to combat the detrimental effects of tobacco use. With her expertise as an Associate Professor of Hygiene and Epidemiology and as the Head of the Tobaccology Unit (UNITAB-Sapienza) at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, Prof Cattaruzza is dedicated to advancing our understanding of tobacco-related health issues and promoting healthier choices for individuals and communities.
