ENSP has launched a Series of Fact Sheets covering a range of tobacco control topics. The first 2 editions are dedicated to Characterising Flavours in Tobacco Products and Heated Tobacco Products. ENSP Support visit – Now open for applications

As an international network of European tobacco control advocates and academics, ENSP offers support to member organisations in pushing for further action by national governments on implementation of the FCTC and TPD. By attending and running meetings with key stakeholders in tobacco control, ENSP brings together experts and specialists in a wide range of tobacco control areas selected according to national needs, in order to highlight strengths and weaknesses of the existing national efforts in tobacco control. Examining the Smoking and Vaping Behaviors and Preferences of Vape Shop Customer

Introduction: The prevalence of vape shops has increased dramatically in recent years. Yet, few studies have examined the smoking/vaping behaviours and vaping preferences of vape shop customers and reasons they patronize vape shops. The present study seeks to address this gap. Methods: A convenience sample of 100 vape shop customers completed a brief questionnaire assessing past and current tobacco/e-cigarette use, vaping preferences and reasons they patronize vape shops. Self-reported smoking status was confirmed via exhaled carbon monoxide measurement. Smoking Cessation

Introduction: Smoking cessation clinic (SCC) was introduced into Singapore’s healthcare setting to combat the increase in smoking prevalence. This study aims to determine (1)the effectiveness of a pharmacist-managed SCC, and (2)the association between abstinence rates and different treatment modalities, in Changi General Hospital. Methods: 445 patients who had attended the SCC were retrospectively reviewed. These patients received structured smoking cessation counselling with or without additional cessation aid comprising of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), varenicline or bupropion. Introduction: Mauritius has one of the highest rates of smoking in Africa. Smoking cessation is a priority for preventing tobacco-related morbidity and mortality.
