    Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across the EU are facing barriers in the implementation of their ativities, as outlined in the 2022 and 2023 European Commission’s rule of law reports, and a European Civic Forum report. In addition to a shrinking civic space, CSOs are facing difficulties in securing safe, regular, and sustainable funding.     ENSP is honored to join Action on Smoking and Health and a total of 208 signatories from 61 countries in calling on the UN Committee on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD) to maintain and strengthen its mention of the harms of tobacco in the Draft General Recommendation n°37 on Racial Discrimination in the enjoyment of the right to health.
